This limited edition cauliflower pillow is made from a vintage scrap of popcorn chenille from the 1950's. The leaves, each curled around the body of the cauliflower in a different way, are made of olive-green fleece and machine embroidered on my 1970's Kenmore 8 (nothing fancier than a zig-zag stitch!) There are two layers of dark green felt on the back and my logo. To top it all off is a vintage button.
Someone recently asked me it it was a piece of from the cotton plant-- having grown up next to a cotton field, I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it!
I consider my pieces "soft sculpture", but you can use it as a pillow or a toy. This would be a perfect gift for someone who loves their aloo gobi or is a champ in the garden. It is fancy enough for a formal living room (sense of humor required). 
The cauliflower measures 11 inch (26cm) across and 6 inches (15cm) tall. It is very lightweight, stuffed with non-allergenic polyester fibers. 
The pattern of puffs on your fabric may vary, as I must source this through vintage sellers, usually in small pieces! This is an original design, crafted by me in my San Jose studio. It is a pet- and smoke-free place. You can see a photo of the cauliflower in progress in that last shot!
